Swift Cottage, once part of the Duke of Devonshire's manor, is a 200 year old, warm and homely, stone-built cottage situated in a prime location on the edge of the village of Tideswell, the 'Cathedral of the Peak'. 'Townhead', as the area is locally known, is a haven of tranquillity, surrounded by open countryside yet just a few minutes walk away from the hustle and bustle of the vibrant village centre, with all its amenities. One of four such properties adjoined in an isolated southerly-facing terrace, it benefits from all day sunshine and glorious views over the dale.The cottage is family owned and managed to high standards by Tideswell residents, offering clean and comfortable accommodation at competitive prices.

The property includes 3 bedrooms, 2 doubles and 1 single, sleeping up to 5 guests. Furnished to a high standard, Swift Cottage is perfectly situated as a base for exploring the Peak District. The Rooms



Following feedback from guests and as part of our policy of continuous improvement, we completed extensive renovation work in December 2011. The original bathroom at the bottom of the staircase has now been converted into a cozy single bedroom with wooden floor, new double-glazed window, clothes hanging space and vertical radiator. An all-new luxury upstairs bathroom has been added with whirlpool bath, separate shower, underfloor heating. The stairs and landing have been repainted and carpeted. Our kitchen has been completely re-decorated, a new ceiling added with integral, dimmable spotlights, and additional storage space installed. The rear entrance/laundry area has been rebuilt and rendered with new door, roof and quarry tiled floor. And much more! The Rooms
