Swift Cottage
The property includes 3 bedrooms: 1 King, 1 Double and 1 Single, sleeping up to 5 guests. A comfortable sitting room with a 32" Smart TV (sign in to your own Netflix or Amazon Prime account), DVDs, books and games and a log burner is ideal for relaxing (please note the one shown below has been updated, new photo coming soon!). The modern kitchen/diner with quality Miele oven, a large fridge freezer, microwave and other essentials provides all you need for meal preparation. A utility room with washing machine and condenser spin dryer is handy for any washing requirements you might have during your stay. Free WiFi is included.
The upstairs King and Double bedrooms and the Single bedroom downstairs have quality medium-firm mattresses and luxury Egyptian cotton linen to help you have a good night's sleep. The modern upstairs bathroom has underfloor heating, a whirlpool bath and a powerful shower. Egyptian cotton hand and bath towels are provided for each guest. A high chair and travel cot are supplied. Upstairs bedrooms have window locks for safety with small children.
The front patio has scenic views over the garden to the dales beyond and garden furniture seating up to 6, providing an ideal place in summer months for sipping a glass of wine and watching the sun set, or eating out al fresco. A barbecue is provided.
To the rear of the cottage is a yard and a shed with secure storage for up to 4 bicycles. The car park 25m to the rear of the cottage across a grass track (which can be used for unloading/loading luggage) provides convenient parking. The Townhead area of Tideswell is considerably quieter than elsewhere in the village and ample roadside parking is available nearby in the unlikely event that the car park should be full.
Main foot access to Swift Cottage is via the shared level footpath across the fronts of the neighbouring 3 cottages on Condliff Terrace (suitable for those with limited mobility, pushchairs etc.). Private access is provided via steps through the well-kept cottage garden (the most convenient route into the village) and a rear entrance via steps, which is handy for accessing the car park.

The cosy sitting room with oak flooring on the ground floor exits via a porch onto the patio. A comfortable faux leather corner sofa and beanbag provide seating for 5. The logburner is a welcome addition in winter months (when an initial supply of logs and kindling are provided for full price stays of 7 nights or more).
A 32" LG flat-screen Smart TV and Blu-Ray player with a selection of popular DVDs, combined with Now! TV, provides a wealth of entertainment with 1000s of movies, news and TV channels at your fingertips.
A variety of local guide and walking books, popular games and brochures is supplied.
The bright and modern kitchen is fitted with a Miele fan-assisted oven, gas hob, spacious fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle and cafétiere and dishwasher. The kitchen table extends to seat 6. A highchair is available. A Bose Bluetooth speaker supplies music from your phone.
Sabatier kitchen knives and Le Creuset ovenware, quality crockery and cutlery, and a wide selection of saucepans, baking trays, frying pans etc. are supplied. Essentials such as washing-up liquid, washing machine tablets, kitchen roll, cling-film, kitchen-foil, sponge-scourer and hand soap are included.

The upstairs master bedroom has a wood laminate floor, 2 wardrobes, a dressing table and chair and a wooden King Size bed (5' x 6'6") from Get Laid Beds with quality medium-firm Silentnight pocket sprung mattress. The window overlooks the patio with a magnificent view out to the dale opposite.
